How can I directly market my digital editions?

Simply add a link to your digital editions in your newsletters, email campaigns, website and social networking sites. It's easy to add digital edition links and flipping icons to Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Digg and more. Don't forgot to Tweet about your latest digital editions, as well!

Where are my digital editions hosted?

Digital editions are created and hosted on our servers for analytical performance and then distributed across the Amazon Cloud for maximum performance across the globe. This helps tremendously with international, remote and mobile readers. We can also provide you with a downloadable version for offline distribution on CDs, DVDs or jump drives for an additional $45.

Do I need to setup links in my PDFs before uploading them?

Not at all. Our data-entry team and system scans each and every page for URLs, email addresses, advertisements and articles. If there are specific linking instructions that you would like to add (example: link all images to publisher.mymagazine.com/images) then simply add those instructions to the "Special Instructions" area when uploading your PDF.

How do I get started?

Simply click on the "Get Started" link and complete the Registration Form. Once you've registered, then complete the Publication Setup form and then the Issue Setup form. Those forms allow you to customize your settings and select which features you'd like to use. Next, upload your PDF and supply any special instructions (example: make sure the Advertising menu matches the ad index on page X). The issue will be automatically converted into a digital edition and you'll be notified via email within a few hours.

After your PDF is converted, login and select a zoom factor. Make sure to proof your digital edition carefully, select, a zoom factor and continue to the payment process. There is no way to change zoom factors after the PDF has been converted into a digital edition.

The digital edition will then be sent to the data-entry team and they'll setup your menus, article text feeds, advertising lists, analytics, links and URLs within 3 business days.

That's it. Just login, Activate your issue and copy the links to your digital edition from the Flipping Code section of the dashboard.

Can you secure access to my digital edition?

Absolutely. If you have a paid subscription publication, there are several ways we can restrict access. We can either use our built-in database and require subscription, registration and/or payment through Paypal (you keep 100% of subscription revenue) or we can create a secure token with your website and tie your digital publication directly to your current user database. We can also disable the PDF download and print features keeping your content secure.

Can I see a demo of my publication before committing?

You'll be able to see your PDF converted into a digital publication before we ask for any payment. Simply upload your PDF and log back in when you receive your "Conversion is Complete" email. Demo publications will stay in the conversion queue for 30 days and can be accessed anytime from your account. Once you decide to go through the payment process and commit, we'll send your publication to the data-entry team and they'll get all of your links, menus and articles established.

What kind of reporting will I receive?

Our analytics are provided by industry giant, Omniture. Omniture gives publishers actionable, real-time intelligence regarding their digital editions, content placement and overall effectiveness. Click here for more complete information regarding Omniture analytics.

Are there any contracts?

Nope. EditionDuo is a pay-as-you-go service so there are no long-term contracts required. When you upload a PDF, you'll be able to see a preview of the publication and decide whether you want to move forward or not. If so, then you will be asked for credit card info at that time and once payment is made, the data-entry team will complete the setup process, create all your links, menus and setup your ad tracking. The entire process takes 3 business days.

How long can we access our epublication?

Digital editions stay active on our server for 3 years. After 3 years, archiving is 10 cents per page per year.
