Email Service Updates
As you know, in our continuing effort to meet the growing needs of publishers, EditionDuo has expanded the scope of its email design and delivery services. As part of this expansion, EditionDuo has implemented a new email interface, providing improved campaign analytics, and offering email template design and reply management services. We have spent the past several months transitioning some clients to this new system and had hoped to have the transition fully completed by May 1st. Although our efforts were delayed, we are now ready to complete the transition.
As I am sure you agree, email delivery services are an important and valuable component of your digital edition strategy. In order to appropriately improve your email interface, analytics, and deliverability, EditionDuo must begin charging for its email services effective July 1, 2010.
EditionDuo Email Services

Email Template Design - EditionDuo's creative team will design for you a custom email template for use in notifying your readers upon the release of new digital editions. |

Email Template Modifications - EditionDuo's email team will edit the copy of your existing email templates created by EditionDuo for subsequent email distributions. |

Email Distribution - EditionDuo will provide email delivery services through a new and improved email interface integrated into your EditionDuo dashboard. |

Email Reply Management - EditionDuo will send out emails on your behalf and manage all replies, including but not limited to informal opt-outs, bounces, and auto-responders. |

Email Audit Logs - EditionDuo will provide you with the appropriate SMTP logs for requested email campaigns for the purposes of digital delivery audits. |

EditionDuo will launch its new email interface on July 1, 2010 and will assist you in transferring templates from the current email system. Unfortunately, as part of this transition, EditionDuo will no longer support auto-notification emails (emails that automatically deploy upon activation of the issue). Users will be required to separately initiate email campaigns. Although an extra step, this process should alleviate inadvertent deployments and will provide publishers with the opportunity to ensure email accuracy and timeliness. Although auto-notification emails will no longer be available effective July 1, 2010, we will assist you in making sure your email notifications go out in a timely manner upon activation.
Current EditionDuo Customers
we will not be charging an Email Account Setup fee to anyone already using EditionDuo's email services. The setup fee will become effective on July 1, 2010 and will apply only to publishers who begin using BlueToad's email services after that date.
Email Template Design
Publishers using the new system will have the option free of charge to upload their own html email designs or to choose from a number of templates that we have provided for your convenience. For anyone recently using auto-notification emails, we will move your auto-notification emails over to the new system at no charge. Furthermore, anyone using a current email template for standard email notifications (not auto-notification emails) may contact our email team for free assistance in moving the template over to the new system.
